I sent the document i typed up. Please read through them and post here on what is the most interesting idea that you would like to explore or your favorite.
I like the following in no particular order (except my first choice is to stay in the Star Wars universe):
1. The first Jedi one- I think it would be cool for one of us the be the smuggler and I like that there is an overall goal for some “greater good”.
2. The third Jedi one: I like the idea of not being Jedi and having to figure out the force on our own.
3. Horror Campaign (Mostly because it reminds me of Supernatural which I love even though I know David would hate that show!)
I do hate that show! :D
It is wonderful and the main characters are beautiful. I will definitely have the last name “Winchester” if we play the Horror Campaign!
In a particular order (the order that I like them):
1. Jedi – One — We are basically smugglers of ourselves all the time!
2. Jedi – Three — But how will I get a lightsaber?!
That was actually it. I guess I didn’t need a numbered list… I think Grimm would freak me out since I would be a terrible kid, and horror sounds too scary.
Hahaha I figured you wouldn’t like the horror one since you won’t event play that one creepy game with Andrew.
Alternatively someone else can be the GM, thats an option too. :P
So thus far we got votes for 1 and 3 being the most popular…Cody/Jess need to post. Cody ALWAYS SLEEPING.
I’m like…. REALLY in the mood to play the horror campaign. That sounds awesome to me, I had a fucking blast with our original supernatural horror campaign. You guys would like it, trust me.
Other than that, I’m down for Grimm, or the gray Jedi campaign where we seek out ancient Jedi relics and temples to reestablish the order in our own right. I would be fine if we stopped SW for a while though honestly. I’d be willing to play the Jedi setting, but I am way more interested in trying something else for a while. Supernatural Horror specifically. I’ve been hoping we would eventually try it out with this group, as I’ve said in the past! Maybe we can revisit SW if the other setting we decide to try doesn’t work out?
I dunno, I can try horror if others want to do it, but I feel like I enjoy the various fantasy settings more (science/high/low). Children make me uncomfortable, so being a child and having weird things happen might make me more uncomfortable.
RPing a child at first is difficult, but it becomes a lot easier depending on the relationship focus between your team mates. For example you can easily play someone who is protective of their sister. Kids are very narrowed down versions of adults, so its ok to pick a few “quirks” and roll with it most of the time. Playing adults and their layers is arguably more difficult.
The “weird” stuff comes from just reacting as a kid would, or a hero in the storybooks. You’d cry or run away with your sister. Put on that brave face so she doesn’t have to see her only anchor to this new reality crumble; brothers do that type of stuff. Then when you get the tools to overcome “darkness” you puff your chest out and tell them they’re a poop face.
With Laurieann’s love of swearing, she can’t be a child.
I know. I am horrible, Is this an intervention about how my swearing is making everyone uncomfortable?
So far we have:
2 Points for Jedi #1 (Geran/LA)
3 Points for Jedi #3 (Geran/LA/Jessy) – Current winning spot
2 Points for Horror (LA/Jessy)
2 Points for Grimm (Cody/Jessy)(as I know Cody wants it and will vote on it) Cody will need to add the others he enjoys.)
I spoke a bit more in other chats with Laurie and Geran regarding Grimm a bit more. Laurie/Geran are you against it still? Add a vote for it or retain your current voting?
I will add my vote at the end and likely be a tie breaker since you guys …well every group ive ever GM’d for is always split 50/50…lol
I am still on the fence with Grimm. It sounds cool but I dunno. Retain my current voting.
